Driven to walk the path of wellness, I am tuned to self-awareness and help others walk the same. I believe this works through empathy and sharing a conducive space with my client- to explore the root causes of problems, gain self-awareness, and get equipped with necessary tools and techniques to make the desired change. I believe research is key to bridge the gaps in mental health and impart positive change in a particular socio-political system.
It is three years since I started working as a mental health professional. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in varied areas such as stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, communication and social skills, body image, sexuality, relationships, work/career, learning difficulties and disabilities, trauma and loss.
I use eclectic approach that tailors to the client’s process and goals. The techniques used are from models of psychodynamic, existential, pranic healing, art therapy, gestalt, CBT, and mindfullness.
I am in the process of developing my page @revive.yo to build awareness on mental health and guide individuals through counselling and special education. I am an aspiring art therapist and pranic healer.
I have always been fascinated by art. Art is expressive and creates meaning in our lives. As much as I explore and dedicate time on art, I remind and suggest my clients to try art as the process helps to heal. These are some recent research articles on art therapy.
